Michael Civitano

Michael Civitano joined the Emerald team in September 2020 as a Client Service Specialist and Assistant to Mark Brownstein. Michael has acted in serval managerial roles and leadership positions including Director of Marketing, Financial Analyst, and Project Coordinator for small ventures.
Michael has helped various organizations achieve company milestones surrounding financial development, internal practice, and consumer engagement. In 2020, Michael assumed the role of Operations & Marketing Coordinator at Star2B Performing Arts, an afterschool theatre education program for K-12 students. He also had the opportunity to stage manage and assistant direct various productions at Star2B in addition to his role-centric responsibilities.
Michael graduated cum laude from Muhlenberg College with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and a double minor in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. At Muhlenberg, Michael was elected Business Manager & Treasurer of the Muhlenberg Theatre Association (MTA) for two consecutive years, overseeing event coordination and funding for the largest on-campus organization. Some of his favorite undergraduate memories include studying abroad in Arezzo, Italy and being the Music Director for the college’s oldest co-ed acapella group, the Muhlenberg Dynamics.
An advocate for innovation, collaboration, and positivity, Michael's client service role combines his passion for assisting others and administration. He is thankful to work alongside Mark, Michele, Kerry, Matt and Amanda and to be part of such a compassionate, goal-oriented team!
Personal Background
When not working, you can find Michael furthering his passion for the arts. He is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts at the University of New Orleans as one of five graduate students admitted to the cohort. Michael recently made his theatrical debut at the university, taking on the role of Romeo in the graduate school's production of Romeo & Juliet. He also loves to sing, whether it be for auditions, new projects, loudly in his apartment, or at his local church! Michael returns to Rockland and to his primary residence in Hopewell Junction, NY when not in school. He enjoys visiting his brother, parents, and grandparents in his childhood home.
